This is a picture of a lateral line connection to the city sewer and rotted waterlogged roots that blocked the pipe. Another company had recommended digging the section up, but we have the equipment and technology to remove the roots through the city’s main 8-inch sewer pipeline which is a clay pipe with a fiberglass lining.
So we proposed the city an option that is less costly and no need to dig up the street. Digging up a street is very costly due to several facts; all the soil that is removed from the ground cannot go back in the hole so you must hire a cement trucking company to bring slurry. You also must hire a trucking company to remove all the dirt.
IMG_0198_01Why this is important is the homeowner and in some cases, a business owner is responsible for the repair of the asphalt (or concrete street) or road so every part of this job has an inspection which brings you to your second reason to have this fiberglass realigned before it has to be dug up. This type of job requires permits and inspections on every part of it, not just the plumbing. For the consumer, the cost of the road would cost more than the plumbing repair.
The slurry which replaces the dirt will be inspected, the asphalt or concrete repair of the street or road also has an inspection in fact all the inspections and permits cost money that does not need to be spent on digging this up at this problem with roots is addressed on time properly the stains can be avoided !!!
But it must be done before the clay piping is broken too much by the roots and it becomes necessary to dig it up because you have waited too long and the pipe is broken to the point where I could not be relined .. Don’t let yourself be the one that waited too long call us today we will be happy to camera your sewer and lateral to make sure that you are not getting into the situation that you may not even know about until it’s too late this could make a difference and thousands of dollars so call today before it’s too late too.
